Even as a young child, I loved sewing. My grandmother, Florence, was my first teacher, demonstrating the basics of hand sewing. Then my mother, Bette, taught me how to operate a sewing machine and I became obsessed - making myself and my dolls all kinds of clothes! It wasn't long before I made my first quilt - for my favorite doll, Sally... I still have it! The creativity of designing quilts eventually won out over making clothes - from crib to king size, to wall hangings and table toppers.

From family teachers, to years of 4-H training, to receiving my degree in Interior Design from North Dakota State University, the joy of creating has been a constant throughout my life. My passion is using my hands and creativity to design distinctive quilts - the kaleidoscope of colors and textures of the fabrics express my unique artistic style. My two daughters have inherited "the bug" - they're seasoned sewers and budding quilters.

Devils Lake, ND has been home to my husband and I for 17 years - it's where we've raised our two girls, Nichole and Bethany. Rounding out our family are our beloved Bichons, Bogart and Leo.

When I am not quilting, I'm traveling in our motorhome or reading a book. I also enjoy attending various quilt retreats with friends, socializing and learning new techniques.

Quilting has truly become one of my greatest passions.
